The reconstruction of the Children’s Section of Motol University Hospital is the largest project involving a healthcare institution undertaken by Helika. The critical condition of the buildings of the Children’s Section required a large investment for their renovation and reconstruction. The project, which involved a complete reconstruction of this leading paediatric institution, was divided into several stages. The reconstruction project also included the construction of new laboratory, pharmacy and a car park for hospital employees and visitors. The Children’s Section of Motol University Hospital is the largest paediatric institution in the Czech Republic. The reconstruction project, for which Helika provided project documentation, included the reconstruction of all paediatric units and workstations in the hospital, including oncology wards and the outpatient and emergency units. After reconstruction, the Children’s Section of Motol University Hospital had ten operating theatres and a diagnostic centre equipped with modern medical technology including CT apparatus and a tomograph.
