The character of the proposed development corresponds to the existing character of the urban fabric of Uhříněves. The residential buildings with 4 – 7 storeys are either free-standing or terrace houses. Each residential house consists of one or several buildings set on a platform provided by an underground car park. The flat roof of the underground car-parking areas is planted with vegetation. Incorporating these forms into the area provided an opportunity to introduce articulated architectural forms into an otherwise unimpressive surrounding landscape. Residential buildings were designed for simple, economic construction. The general architectural concept is based on the need to reflect the character of the location as closely as possible, without disturbing its urban character. The lower residential houses in the east section of the site have four storeys. Facades are simple, either rendered or tiled. The fronts of the houses are articulated with inset loggias painted inside with bright colours to further emphasise the plasticity of the facades. All loggias have large windows to allow more sunlight and daylight into the flats. The remaining windows are mostly simple, with one opening part. In some cases, the exposed facades are accented with series of balconies.
